Nicole Prater, Executive Director
Nicole is a Jackson local. She spent years traveling and living throughout the world before attending the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, England, to study Social Anthropology and Development Studies. After graduating, she continued to work for global social justice with organizations such as CARE, Sense International and the Afghanistan Girls' School Project. In 2007, Nicole completed her Master's degree in International Public Policy and Management from the University of London. Now back in Jackson, she continues her interest in global affairs and cultural understanding. She and her husband (and best friend) Jason Biermann, travel whenever they can.
When in Jackson, Nicole enjoys all of the outdoor pursuits the area has to offer, in addition to cooking, reading and knitting. She lives in the Town of Jackson with Jason and two very strange mutts.
Lucille Rice, Program Director
Lucille joined Wyoming Global Leadership Exchange after working as a journalist for a local weekly paper. She graduated in 2006 from Eckerd College, a small liberal arts school in St. Petersburg, Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Global Affairs and Spanish. Having lived abroad in her youth, she was exposed to the many cultures of the world at a young age, fostering a passion for travel and engendering global awareness and cultural sensitivity among others. Throughout her high school and college career, Lucille had the opportunity to work with several NGOs and intern in the United States Senate. These work experiences provided her with a broad perspective on how the worlds of politics and humanitarianism often collide. But through her extensive travels throughout Europe and Latin America, she quickly came to realize that the most important form of diplomacy is people to people interactions. Working for WGLE has allowed Lucille to promote citizen diplomacy through the quality professional and personal exchange programs facilitated by the organization.
